    Hello Jamie

I want you to know that I really enjoyed the Blood Ties series. I really liked all of the characters except for Carrie. I found her to be narcicisstic, petulant and unable to truly love. With regards to Nathan I find her treatment of him to be to contrary and manipulative. She only appears to fall into Nathan’s arms after the love of her life, Cyrus has tossed her away. She is so sure of herself that she can’t be second-guessed and as a result we have the avoidable deaths of Ziggy and Mouse. She gets angry at Nathan when any other women comes into his life while she is able to roll around on the floor with Max or make out in the back of Nathan’s van with Cyrus. Indeed she even moves Cyrus into the apartment without the consent of Nathan. To my mind Nathan only serves as a convenience and a whipping boy. While the beast who turned her, abused her, slit her throat and took her heart is the one she cares for the most.

I listened to the series twice to see if it was my misreading of your writing or simply my not understanding your intent. I don’t think it is either. To me she is not the most likeable of heroes.

As I said i really enjoyed the storyline and evey other character in the series.

Please keep up the great work

    Gord Boddy
